Here are a few tips for our T-bird Virtual Academy Students!

Guy-Perkins High School 7th and 8th grade students are doing a great job in social distancing during our split lunch period. The lunches are pretty great too! #itsourtimetoshine

We have made a few minor adjustments to the bus route pick up times for tomorrow (Wednesday) morning. The Purple Bear bus will begin picking up students at 6:05 a.m.; the T-bird bus at 6:20 a.m.; and the Red Wolf at 6:25 a.m. Please have students out on their stop 15 minutes ahead of their usual pick-up time. If you have questions about the routes, please contact Denee at 679-7224.

Attention Seniors:
Jostens will be on campus Wednesday, September 2nd at 8 am to meet with you. They will return to campus Wednesday, September 9th at 8 am to take orders. If you are a virtual student and do not want to attend the meeting on campus, please call 501-679-3507 and let Mrs. Dooley know so Jostens can send something out to you.

Guy-Perkins faculty and staff spent much of the week in professional development sessions learning how to become better leaders and teachers for our students and community. It is definitely our time to shine!

PARKING PASSES:
If you obtained a parking pass last year, you can simply bring me updated insurance information and your license to copy and you can keep the pass you have. If you need a pass and do not have one, please pick up the form in the office, bring your license and insurance to copy, and I will give you a pass. There is no initial charge for the pass; however, if you do not return it at the end of the year, there is a $5.00 charge.

Parents\Guardians:
Monday, the 24th, I will send home Enrollment Packets with your students. Please sign and return the documents as soon as possible. If you were here last year and there are no corrections to your personal information or if you turned in the form sent to you this summer, you DO NOT have to fill out the Enrollment Form (the first sheet of this packet). Simply complete the other documents and return them. If you have already turned in a completed packet this year, you DO NOT have to fill out another one.
Thank you For Assistance with this information!
Have A Wonderful Year!!!!
Mrs. E Dooley

CORRECTION: In preparation for the 20-21 school year, the HS administration will host a 7th grade/New Student Campus Tour/ Orientation in the Gym tomorrow, August 20th at 6 pm. If you have not picked up your schedule already, you may pick it up at that time. We look forward to seeing you. The correct time is 6 pm not 7 pm.

LOCKERS- Students will have access to lockers this year. Students will be required to wear masks while accessing their lockers, due to the inability to social distance. Attention Guy-Perkins High School students grades 7-12: Class schedules will be available for pick up beginning on Monday, August 17th at 8:00 a.m. in the High School office. All students, whether learning on campus, off campus, or a combination of both may stop by the High School office between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. each day to pick up a schedule. Only two people per family will be allowed to enter the building and must wear a face mask at all times.
Schedule-change requests will be considered until Tuesday, September 1st. Mr. Ralls, High School Counselor, will be available in his office to handle schedule-change forms between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17th through Friday, August 21st.
In the interest of safety during COVID-19, it is recommended that students submit schedule-change requests by phone at 501-679-3507, or by e-mail to stacey.ralls@gptbirds.org. Students are also asked to pick up a master schedule when picking up class schedules in order to determine which class can be added in place of dropped classes. Please remember that schedule changes may not be possible if there are no appropriate class options available.

The Guy-Perkins School District will serve breakfast and lunch FREE to ALL students in 2020-21!! Families will not be required to fill out free/reduced lunch forms, and both "on-site" and "virtual" learners qualify. Look for more information in a letter being mailed out soon!

The AR Food Bank has provided 2% milk, boxes of fresh produce, and bags of chicken fried rice for distribution to our area families. These items may be picked up on Tuesday, Aug. 4th from 6 - 7 p.m. at the Guy-Perkins Cafeteria loading dock area, while supplies last. #TbirdsCare
