
The Guy-Perkins Alumni Field Day was a HUGE success last year and we raised over $1000 for scholarships for GPHS graduates! We also gave away 40+ door prizes!

This prestigious award is given to schools where students achieve exceptional academic growth on the ATLAS assessment, despite a high percentage of students coming from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
In addition to this honor, Guy-Perkins Elementary has earned top rankings:

The Guy-Perkins School District will conduct Scoliosis and BMI Screenings from March 11th-13th, 2025. Who Will Be Screened?
**Scoliosis Screening: Girls in 6th and 8th grade, Boys in 8th grade
**BMI Measurement: Students in grades K, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10
These screenings are conducted privately and respectfully to ensure student comfort. Participation helps identify potential health concerns early, supporting long-term well-being.
If you do not wish for your child to participate, please provide a written notice to the school nurse. For more details, contact the school office.

Guy-Perkins students and their families are reminded that Monday, March 3, 2025 will be an inclement weather "make-up day " for staff and students. It will be important for all students to be in attendance as they prepare for the upcoming ATLAS assessment. Other "make-up days" for this school year include April 7, (Monday),May 5 (Monday), May 16 (Friday), and May 19 (Monday). If you have any question about these dates, please contact your child's school office.


Good morning Overtime Parents! Yesterday was such a nice day we had to get outside and enjoy it! We did start off with a little inside while it was still a little chilly.











Guy-Perkins Overtime program will not have session on Wednesday February 26, or Thursday February 27 due to our school hosting regionals.

Several of our Juniors gave up their snow day Wednesday to attend a virtual ACT Prep course through Arch Ford Cooperative. Students earned an incentive day by attending, asking questions, and taking notes.
Please join us in wishing all of our Juniors good luck when they take the ACT on Thursday the 27th!


Guy-Perkins School District will once again run a modified bus route schedule for student on the afternoon routes (Friday): Purple Bear route- students on Mill Bridge Road will meet at intersection of Wolf Branch and Mill Bridge Road. Students on Hargett Road will meet at the end of Hargett Road and Highway 25 (bus will be leaving 5 minutes earlier). Razorback route students on Ashberry and Easy St. will meet at gas pad gate before Ashberry Road. Please be safe as you travel!

Staff and students safely returned to campus today following an extended break for snow/ice. Thank you Faulkner County Road Department crew for clearing the bus routes streets and roads in our district, and to Guy-Perkins Maintenance/Custodial Staff members, Damon Cardin and James Stane, for clearing the sidewalks and parking lots on campus. Safety comes first in Faulkner County and at Guy-Perkins!


Today is "Bus Driver Appreciation Day" so join us in celebrating the hard work and dedication of our Guy-Perkins bus drivers: Connie Glover, Jennifer Hennessee, Becky Gibbs, Lisa Halk, Jeremy Carson, Eric Lewis, and Dr. Joe Fisher. These are the first and last staff members that our riders see each day setting the tone for student success. Thank you drivers for all you do for Guy-Perkins students!

Due to the lingering ice and snow creating hazardous roadways across the district, the Guy-Perkins School District will be closed on Thursday, February 20, 2025. This includes the Day Care program. We will be working on clearing parking lots and sidewalks throughout the day on Thursday in an effort to open school on Friday. Additionally, the February School Board Meeting has been rescheduled to Monday, February 24 at 6:00 PM in the Administration Office. Stay warm and safe! Dr. Fisher

According to our latest updates from the National Weather Service, the Guy-Perkins area is under a winter storm warning beginning at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, February 18. Travel conditions could become hazardous beginning as early as late morning on Tuesday. For this reason, Guy-Perkins will be closed on Tuesday, February 18. We will update you once again at 3 PM on Tuesday afternoon concerning the status of Wednesday's classes. Dr. Fisher

The ACT Prep scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed and changed to a virtual session for Wednesday. Math and Science will be from 9:00-11:30 followed by English and Reading from 12:00-2:00.

Please be aware that school administrators are closely monitoring the winter weather forecasted for midweek. If the district needs to cancel classes, notifications will be sent through text messages, social media, and local television stations. Any closures will include the Early Childhood Center.


The district tournament schedule on Monday has changed. Bradford is trying to adjust for weather. Senior girls will now play at 4:00 pm vs Midland, and Sr boys will play at 5:15 pm vs Augusta.
