Governor Asa Hutchinson's Office has moved the start of the school year back to the week of August 24-28. The Guy-Perkins School Board will meet on July 21 to revise the school calendar for this year. We will announce the new calendar as soon as it has been revised. - Dr. Fisher

The Guy-Perkins School District will be launching a new website including a "GP T-birds" app on Wednesday, July 1. Get your app loaded today and be ready for the new Guy-Perkins look!

Students planning to participate in athletics during the 2020-21 school year will need to complete physicals and have them turned in by the end of the day on Friday, July 10. If families have questions about physicals, email Coach Guiden at keane.guiden@gptbirds.org.

Congratulations to Maya Davidson for being selected to receive a $250 scholarship from the AR Blood Institute. Our district earned the opportunity to award this scholarship to one of our students through blood drives during the 2019-20 school year. Thanks to all who helped out!

Guy-Perkins Superintendent, Dr. Joe Fisher, was recently elected to serve a three-year term on the AR Governor's Quiz Bowl Association Board of Directors. Dr. Fisher coaches the Guy-Perkins Junior Quiz Bowl Team, which were this year's co-champions of the state 1A classification.


Congratulations to the Guy-Perkins Chapter of National Beta Club for achieving "National Beta District of Distinction" status in 2020. Guy-Perkins was 1 of only 20 districts to receive this award nationwide. Thanks to Ms. Wilkins and Mrs. Johnson for sponsoring. #districtofchoice
