A reminder that parent-teacher conferences will be held Thursday, February 17th from 4-7:00 p.m. If you would like to set up a specific time to meet with a teacher, please call or email the teacher before the conference. If you have questions before Thursday, please contact the high school office or the teacher. We look forward to seeing you.


COVID-19 Update: Face masks are optional starting Monday, February 14, 2022 until further notice. If students are COVID-positive, they are to stay home for 5 days. Probable Close Contact students may attend school while monitoring for symptoms. If symptoms do occur, they are to isolate and it is recommended to get tested. If any student has a fever, they must be fever free for 48 hours before returning to school. Report all COVID-positive students to Nurse Sarah Toller at sarah.toller@gptbirds.org.


IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT. The Senior Night recognition will be held in between the Senior Boys and Girls game, Friday, February 11th. We are asking all parents/guardians to be at the gym no later than 6:00 p.m. It is very important to be on time because we can't wait on people because of the second game. If you have questions, please contact the school. We look forward to recognizing your child for all the hard work and dedication they have shown over the years. It's a special time and event. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT. Because of the recent weather conditions, Guy-Perkins Homecoming and Senior Night will be celebrated this upcoming Friday, February 11th. We will have the day ceremony for Homecoming, and the crowning that night. We will have the Senior boys play first, then the Senior girls. The Senior Night recognition will follow immediately after the girl's game. Additional information will be given to students and parents throughout the week. We appreciate your support of our teams and seniors. T-Bird Proud!



Congratulations to Guy-Perkins 3rd grade Pee Wee team for winning Runners-Up in the North Central Arkansas Pee Wee Basketball Tournament!!!


The Guy-Perkins School District will be closed for “on-site” instruction on Friday, February 4. The basketball games against Scranton will be postponed until next week. Students are to complete AMI Day #2 assignments in order be counted present. As of Noon today, the Junior District basketball tournament will be played on Saturday at Mt. Vernon-Enola. Be safe and stay warm!

Due to the "Winter Storm Warning" that will go into effect at midnight tonight, the Guy-Perkins School District will be closed for "on-site" instruction on Thursday, February 3, 2022. Students are to use their AMI Day #1 assignment. The district will closely monitor weather conditions throughout the day on Thursday to determine if any additional AMI days will be needed. Be safe and healthy during this time!

Great things are happening in the Guy-Perkins School District! When our cafeteria staff became short-handed this week, Megan Wilson volunteered to step in and help our students and staff with breakfast and lunch. Thank you, Megan, for making great things happen in Guy-Perkins!


The Guy-Perkins Thunderbirds (JB,SG,SB) will host the Nemo Vista Red Hawks tonight in conference action. Games begin at 5 p.m. $4-adults and $3-students. Booster Club concessions will be available. Come out to the Thunderdome and support your hometown T-bird teams!


This Friday!

Thursday, January 27th, we will have a speaker from the Arkansas Attorney General's office to give a presentation on internet safety for grades 4-12. 4-6th grades will start at 8:00-8:45 am. 10-12th grade will begin at 8:49-9:34 am. 7-9th grade will begin at 9:48-10:38 am. Parents of these grade level students are invited to attend. We will have a special operations officer to answer questions students or parents may have concerning internet safety.


The Thunderbird basketball teams (JB,SG,SB) continue conference play at home tonight vs. Western Yell County. Games begin at 5 p.m. $4-adults & $3-students. The Guy-Perkins Homecoming basketball game has been rescheduled for February 8th. Please look for more information as we get closer to the game date.

The basketball games (7g,7b,JG,JB) at Mayflower on February 3 have been cancelled. These games will NOT be made up.
