Congratulations to Mr. Cummings and the Guy-Perkins HS Quiz Bowl Team for placing 2nd in the 1A Central Region Quiz Bowl Tournament. Team members include Noah Wright, Colin Fisher, Anaya Strickland, and Alyvia Hayes. Colin Fisher was named the tournament MVP. The team qualifies to compete in the 1A State Quiz Bowl Tournament on April 9 at UACCM in Morrilton.
The softball game against Concord has been canceled due to the inclement weather.
Kindergarten Registration for school year 2022-2023 will be April 5, 2022 at the Elementary. Registration will be from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Children must be (5) years old on or before August 1, 2022 in order to register for the upcoming school year. Thunderbird baseball/softball action continues today (Monday) at home vs. Mt. Vernon-Enola War Hawks. Softball begins at 4 p.m. and Baseball at 4:30 p.m. Admission is $4-adults and $3-students. Both teams are coming off of a sweep of Sacred Heart on Thursday night. The Thunderbird Softball team will play an additional home game tomorrow (Tuesday) vs. Concord. Game time is 4 p.m.
Congratulations to Guy-Perkins High School Junior, Colin Fisher, for being selected out of all the applications in Arkansas to attend Arkansas Governor's School Summer 2022! The game will be played in the Morrilton High School arena. ALL tickets for AAA state basketball games will be sold ONLINE ONLY! No paper tickets will be sold at the gate. Spectators must present a digital ticket at the gate. Printed tickets will NOT be accepted. AAA Passes will be accepted until the gym capacity has been reached. AAA Passes do NOT guarantee access. This is a link to the permission slip form for students in grades 7-12 that would like to ride the Pep Bus to the Guy-Perkins vs. County Line basketball game in Morrilton on Monday, March 7. STUDENTS MUST BE IN GOOD BEHAVIOR STANDING. ALL GOOGLE FORMS FOR THE PEP BUS MUST BE FILLED OUT PRIOR TO 10:00 A.M. ON MONDAY.
The bus will leave at 1:00 p.m. from the High School Gym. The entire school district will be dismissed at 1:15 p.m. Game time is 2:30 p.m. The bus will return between 4:30-5:00 p.m.
Only the first 65 students registered by this Google Form will be allowed to ride the Pep Bus. Space is limited. All students riding the Pep Bus will have their tickets purchased for them. Students will need money for the concessions.

Congratulations to the Guy-Perkins Jr. Quiz Bowl Team for placing 2nd at the 1A Jr. Central Region Tournament held on Saturday. Guy-Perkins finished 6-1 creating a three-way tie with Sacred Heart and Nemo Vista. Due to the tie-breaker, Guy-Perkins finished in 2nd place. Freshman Noah Wright was named the tournament's MVP. Guy-Perkins qualifies to compete in the 1A State Quiz Bowl Tournament on Saturday, March 5 at UACCM in Morrilton. Good luck to Dr. Fisher and his team!
