Our new Volleyball Coach, Lyn Alexander, will be hosting Open Try-outs for the Jr. High Girls Volleyball (7th-9th grades) team on Monday, July 24th and Thursday, July 27th from 3:00 p.m.-4:15 p.m. If you have a student who is interested in coming to Open Try-outs please have them here. Over $10,500 was raised to help support the PTO's work, including helping to purchase school supplies for all students. Guy-Perkins Junior High School band members participated in the 2023 Dixie Band Camp at UCA in Conway last week with RJ Huff earning 3rd band on the snare drum and Adalyn Hogan 5th band on mallet percussion. Congratulations to these students and their director, Mr. Josh Harley for their hard work. We are T-bird proud!
Guy-Perkins Elementary will be hosting summer school for students in Kindergarten-6th grades beginning Monday, June 5-Friday, June 30, 2023. Letters were sent out to qualifying students May 1, 2023 inviting them to participate in summer school activities. Summer school hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. , Monday-Friday each week. Please do not drop your student off before 8:00 a.m. , there will be no staff here to watch them until 8:00 a.m. Busses will take students home at 1:00 p.m. each day. Car-riders will also need to be picked up at 1:00 p.m. each day. Breakfast will be served at 8:00 a.m. each day and lunch will be served at 11:15 a.m. each day as well. Students will have math, literacy and social-emotional learning blocks each day of summer school.
