A big THANK YOU goes out to Ms. Hayes for a wonderful Winter Concert from our junior and senior choir and band. For many of the students, it was their first time performing in front of an audience. Also, the students looked great in their Thunderbird shirts for the performance. We are looking forward to the spring for more exciting music from these students. Keep it up, students. Great things continue to happen in our music program.

The Guy Perkins FACS Department is proud to announce: Hogan Hicks, Vivik Bryant, Thomas Beard Lamb, Conner and Hunter Gordon completed their certification in ServSafe with excellent scores!

This week, during T-Bird time, we shared with the student body the announcement of Mrs. Donna Acre's retirement at the end of this semester. We celebrate with her the 17 1/2 years she has been with the Guy-Perkins School District. She has taught at the elementary and high school. Also, she has been the FBLA sponsor and class sponsor. Mr. Barnes stated, "She was the very first teacher I met when I came to Guy-Perkins in July. She and her husband were working on the business lab to get it ready for the upcoming school year. That is dedication." Thank you, Mrs. Acre, for your dedication to the Guy-Perkins School District, to the faculty and staff, and most importantly, to the students and families of our district. Enjoy retirement!

Thank you to Dollar General for supporting Guy-Perkins students and their families for Christmas!

From Mr. Barnes, We have had some students and parents notify the office that they could not access their grades this nine weeks. When you are using the Home Access Center (HAC), you must change the marking period from MP1 to MP2 on the screen to see the 2nd nine weeks grades for your child. Also, we have had some students tell us that they couldn't log into HAC. If your child has a problem logging in, they need to contact Melody Olson, who is in charge of passwords for the system. Ms. Olson may need to update their password before they can access any information. If you child continues to have problems, please have them contact the office.
