
Congratulations to Mrs. Tracy Griffin for being selected to attend this summer's Arkansas Computer Science and Computing Educator Academy. The Academy will be held at Arkansas Tech University June 14-18th and 21-25th. Teachers completing the Academy will be able to add computer science to their teaching license. All districts in the state must have a licensed educator in computer science by the 2022-23 school year. We are proud of you, Mrs. Griffin. T-Bird Strong!


Congratulations to Mrs. Donna Acre for being accepted into the UCA Online Teacher Academy. Mrs. Acre will be a part on an 11 month program which will allow her to add the online teaching endorsement to her license. Way to go, Mrs. Acre! We are proud of you. T-Bird Strong!


Due to the prolonged rainy weather this week, we have decided to move the Elementary Field Day activities to Monday, May 24. Activities will begin at 8:00 a.m. Parents are welcome to come and watch their students participate in Field Day events from 8:00-10:30 a.m.. Parents will also be allowed to stay and have lunch with their students. If you choose to attend, please come check in at the Elementary Office and get a visitor's pass. Please also remember to send a refillable water bottle with your child that day, as well as sunscreen (if needed).

Based on the recent guidance from the CDC, the Guy-Perkins School District Board met tonight (5/18) and voted unanimously to remove the mask requirement and allow students/staff the option of wearing masks for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year. Students will also have the option during summer school.


Ms. Phillip's Food Safety and Nutrition class prepared lunch for the high school teachers and staff today. They did an excellent job with the food choices and tableware. Mr. Barnes really loved the lasagna!

T-BIRDS WIN, T-BIRDS WIN! 10-6 Advance to the next round of state tournament!


The Guy-Perkins School District had a great send off for our boys Thunderbird baseball team this morning. The team will be playing in the state tournament this afternoon against Scranton in Izard County. Play hard, be safe, and have fun. The T-Bird Family is proud of you!



Reminder: Today is the last day to place your order for Field Day T-shirts! T-shirts are $9 (YXS-AXL) or $11 (2XL-3XL). Elementary Field Day will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021.

Elementary Field Day T-shirt order forms went home with K-6th grade students last Friday. T-shirts are $9 (YXS-Adult XL) and $11 (2XL-3XL). All orders are due by Thursday, May 13th. Late orders will not be accepted.

For the first time in over 2o years, the Thunderbird Baseball team will compete in the 1A State Tournament at Izard Co. on Thursday (5/13) at 3:00 p.m. vs. Scranton (Tickets-https://tinyurl.com/d9rvdp6y).
