Reminder to Parents and Guardians of Guy-Perkins students: If your student needs to go home in a different way than what is indicated on their paperwork , please send a note or email, contact the teacher, or call the office. We want to make sure that we are sending your child to the correct place everyday. To help us with this process we are asking that parents/guardians do not call to change transportation after 2 p.m. each day. We understand that emergencies arise and we will do our best to be accommodating.
Attention all Guy-Perkins Grandparents!
Due to the excessive heat forecasted for this week, Guy-Perkins will hold inside recess during the hottest part of the day; modify football practices to include more indoor practice time; and encourage students to drink lots of water throughout the day. Help us keep our students healthy and hydrated during this dangerously hot weather.
The Guy-Perkins Athletic Booster Club is gearing up for the upcoming sports season home games. Season passes will be on sale at home games: One ADULT PASS, or One ADULT + GUEST pass will be available for volleyball season; basketball season; baseball/softball season; or all sports seasons. Join us for our first home volleyball game this THURSDAY at 4:30 PM.
The Booster Club is also raffling off a Wooden Flag (measuring 36x20). The winner will choose between a Razorback flag, or a Thunderbird flag. Tickets are $1.00 each, or 6 for $5.00. The drawing is scheduled to be held October 3, 2023. Purchases can be made at any home volleyball game, or by contacting Marina at tbirdbooster@gmail.com.

We are so excited to see everyone at our Open House tonight!! Doors will open at 5:30 for hotdogs, chips, cookies, and drinks! The welcome and introduction of staff will begin at 6:00 p.m. Parents and students can visit classrooms/teachers from 6:30-7:30 p.m. All throughout the Upper and Lower Elementary Buildings will be tables filled with FREE books. Please stop by any table and pick out as many books as you like. We can't wait o see you there!
Guy-Perkins will begin its "4-day week" school calendar on Tuesday, August 15. Families are reminded that the Monday OVERTIME Program will begin on Monday, August 21 and run from 8:00 AM-3:00 PM each Monday until the end of the school year. Transportation and meals will be provided. LOOK FOR THE SIGN-UP TABLE AT OPEN HOUSE ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 10.
The Guy-Perkins Thunderbird gym floor is being refinished for the upcoming school year. The gym will be closed the rest of this week August 8-11th. We appreciate your support in this matter. Great day to be a T-Bird!

Our new Volleyball Coach, Lyn Alexander, will be hosting Open Try-outs for the Jr. High Girls Volleyball (7th-9th grades) team on Monday, July 24th and Thursday, July 27th from 3:00 p.m.-4:15 p.m. If you have a student who is interested in coming to Open Try-outs please have them here.
