Principals Month

Each October, "National Principals Month" recognizes the essential role that principals play in making a school great.  Principals are among the hardest working, yet often least recognized individuals in education. Principals set the academic tone for their schools, and it is their vision, dedication, and determination that provide the mobilizing force for achieving student success.

The Guy-Perkins School District recognizes Mrs. Tammy Murry, Elementary School Principal, and Mr. Tim Barnes, High School Principal, for their hard work and dedication to students and staff. Their vision for creating a successful place for student learning has earned Guy-Perkins schools the following recognition:

  • Elementary School:  High Reliability School - Level 1 and School of Innovation (2022).
  • High School:  U.S News and World Report - A "Top Metro High School" (2021-22).

Great things are happening in the Guy-Perkins School District!  Thank you Mrs. Murry and Mr. Barnes for your contributions to our success!
