Guy-Perkins Elementary School was recently recognized by the Arkansas Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for achieving Level 1 certification as a state and nationally-recognized "highly reliable school." The Marzano High Reliability School (HRS) program was created by Marzano Resources to help transform schools into organizations that take proactive steps to ensure student success. Level 1 certification means that Guy-Perkins Elementary School has successfully created a “Safe, Supportive, and Collaborative Culture” promoting high academic achievement for all students.
"In addition to their every-day classroom instruction, Mrs. Murry and
her elementary school staff have been meeting weekly to focus on school
data for improving their school culture, collaboration, curriculum, and
student learning," says Guy-Perkins Superintendent, Dr. Joe Fisher.
Guy-Perkins Elementary School staff are currently working on Level 2 certification activities which include focusing on developing and maintaining effective instruction in every classroom by building a shared language of instruction to raise the level of pedagogical skill both individually and collectively.
