Guy-Perkins stand-out athlete and 2008 graduate, Nakeia Guiden, has been selected as the Girls' Basketball Coach for 2022-23. Guiden expressed her appreciation for being selected in the following statement: "I am very excited for the opportunity to work for the Guy-Perkins School District. I take great pride in being a Thunderbird alum and look forward to the challenge of turning our girls’ program around. We have a lot of positive tradition here, but I look forward to putting my own touch on the girls’ basketball program. We plan on playing an exciting, up-tempo brand of basketball that I feel our fans and community will enjoy watching. Once again I am humbled and excited for the opportunity to be the head girls’ basketball coach for Guy-Perkins."
