The Guy-Perkins Junior Quiz Bowl Team wrapped up its 2021-22 season on Saturday by finishing 4th in the 1A State Junior Quiz Bowl Tournament at UACCM in Morrilton. The Thunderbirds were placed in the Red Championship Division among some of the best 1A teams in the state and finished only behind two private schools and a charter school.
Noah Wright (9th) and Garrett Fisher (8th) were named the 1A State All-Tournament Quiz Bowl Team. Other Quiz Bowl Team members included Alyvia Hayes (9th), Jaycie Blaylock (8th), Shelbee Brown (8th), Caitlin Clark (7th), and Chloe Green (7th).
This year, the Guy-Perkins Junior Quiz Bowl Team finished in 2nd place at the 1A Junior Quiz Bowl Central Regional; 2nd place at the Friends of Quiz Bowl Tournament; and 4th place at the Conway Junior Quiz Bowl Invitational Tournament.
