Thank you!

Dear T-bird Family,

While the threat of COVID-19 is still actively present in our state, it is encouraging to note that the number of active cases of COVID-19 in our community and school district is quickly approaching the low levels experienced back in February and March.  Unless the COVID-19 numbers change drastically later this week, the District will be modifying its current Communicable Disease Control Plan to make masks (face coverings) OPTIONAL for staff and students beginning Monday, October 18.   Masks (face coverings) will also be OPTIONAL at both the Parent-Teacher Conferences (Thursday night) and Blue-Gold games (Friday night) .

I truly appreciate the efforts of District staff, parents, and students in helping to keep our schools safe and healthy so that we could maintain "on-site" education. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 infection and quarantine rates and make any necessary modifications to the Communicable Disease Control Plan if the COVID-19 infection numbers go back up in the District and/or community. Let's do our very best to keep all staff and all students learning "on-site" this year.

Dr. Joe Fisher, Superintendent
