The Guy-Perkins Early Childhood Center (ECC) four-year old Pre-K classroom is being recognized for its high standards and success using "Conscious Discipline," an evidence-based, trauma-informed approach to social-emotional learning for preschool students. Because the ECC is a "Better Beginnings" Level 6 program, "Wiz Kids" teachers, Kandis Lawrence and Alli Brown, were recently videotaped using "Conscious Discipline" techniques and interviewed about their successes using it.
