The Arkansas Department of Education released School Letter Grades on September 27, 2023. Ark. Code Ann. § 6-15-1402 requires that the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) annually prepare and publish a school performance report for each public school in the state and make the report available to schools, parents, and the local community. The report provides information about each school, district, and the state, including achievement, growth, teacher qualification, school environment, and more.

While these school letter grades highlight only a few aspects of teaching and learning at Guy-Perkins Elementary School and High School from the 2022-23 school year, we will continue to use multiple student-performance assessment results to set district performance goals for the 2023-24 school year.   We are specifically targeting student literacy skills, especially K-3, and using remediation strategies to help show additional student growth in the areas of mathematics and science.  As a result of all of this  focused work, we want our school district to return to being an "A" school district as we lead the way in educating K-12 students.

I appreciate our staff, parents, school board, and community for their continued commitment to our students' education. Together, we will ensure that every student at Guy-Perkins has the opportunity to be successful in a small-school and personalized learning environment.

Dr. Joe Fisher, Superintendent

NOTE: School report cards are available under the Report Card tab on My School Info. The A-F grade scale is a widely accepted way to identify how well a student is performing in school. Detailed information on the school rating system can be found in the ADE Rules Governing the Public School Rating System on Annual School Performance and Reports and the School Recognition Program.
