Coach Lyn Alexander joins the Guy-Perkins School District as the HS Girls Coach and Social Studies Teacher for the 2023-24 school year. He is a retired Army combat officer and has coached basketball in Hector and Two Rivers School District. He also is the owner and CEO of Major A Flags and More.
Lyn and his wife, Angie, have three children, Victoria (29), Elizabeth
(26), and Austin (21) along with two stepdaughters Ashley (20) and
Aubrey (21). Outside of teaching and coaching, Lyn spends time hunting, fishing, traveling, and woodworking.
Lyn says he loves the small town feel of Guy-Perkins and wants to help the Thunderbirds "get back to winning again through hard work and dedication. " He adds that he wants to "make
playing sports fun while showing his players that work, accountability, and holding each other responsible is part of life skills outside of school."
Lyn will coach girls volleyball, basketball, cross-country, and track. Guy-Perkins welcomes Coach Lyn Alexander to the Thunderbird family!
