Mikayla Hayes will be joining the Guy-Perkins School District in 2023-24 as the new High School Music Teacher (band/choir). Mikayla recently graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a Bachelors in Music Education where her primary instrument was the flute.
Mikayla chose Guy-Perkins because she has a "real soft spot for small-town culture" and feels the love that administrators and staff members have for their students. She wants to do her part at Guy-Perkins to "ensure that music students have the opportunity to express their musical talents and thrive."
When away from school, Mikayla loves to read; paint; listen to live music; spend time with her family and her cats; and play video games. She is proud to be the first college graduate in her family. Please welcome Mikayla Hayes to the T-bird family!
