Guy-Perkins Boys Basketball Coach Eric Lewis has announced he will leave the district at the end of the 2024-25 school year to become the Assistant Coach at Bryant High School. Lewis will join the staff of Head Coach Mike Abrahamson, who recently led the Hornets to the 6A Boys Basketball State Championship.
“I’m very grateful to the Guy-Perkins community for the opportunity to lead the program this past year,” said Lewis. “It was really a win-win situation for me, but ultimately this decision came down to a huge professional growth opportunity that I couldn’t pass up.”
In his single season with the Thunderbirds, Lewis increased the Jr./Sr. High win total from two to seven wins and back-to-back Sr. High wins for the first time since 2023.
