Guy-Perkins Elementary School Library Media Specialist, Petrina Baker, was recently selected to participate in the Arkansas Library Leadership Institute for 2021-22. Baker, a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas, is in her 12th year with the Guy-Perkins School District. Upon being selected for the Leadership Institute, Baker stated, "I'm so excited to see how participating in this Institute might help improve our library, as well as my personal and professional growth."
The Arkansas Library Leadership Institute is a professional development opportunity of the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education and consists of 30 library workers from across the state. Included in this year's leadership cohort are participants from public, academic, school, and special libraries, both public and private institutions.
