January is "School Board Recognition Month" and the Guy-Perkins School District spotlights Zone 1 Board Member and Vice-President - Ashley Ealy. Mr. Ealy is a Serviceman with Entergy Arkansas and has served on the Guy-Perkins School Board for 5 years. He serves on the Board because he is an alumnus of Guy-Perkins Schools and wanted to give back to the community.
Mr. Ealy is married to Regina (20 years) and has two 16 year-old twin boys, Ashton and Sebastian. Both are in 10th grade and attend Guy-Perkins High School where they participate in basketball, baseball, FFA, and FBLA. Over the next 3-5 years, he would like to see the district add more AP classes at high school and become one of the top school districts in Faulkner County.
